finding a burial place?

My ancester died on the great Western Rd any help as to burial places please and how I can find out,the council are asking a fortune for info.

I don't know the area you are looking, but I have tracked a few ancestors down by calling around the cemeteries and asking.  Most of them are really helpful and they can give you alot of information when you do find them.
