Sadly nothing else showing except the entries I posted (from the transcripts). In 1891, his entry is the only Samuel McCrossan showing (with wildcards). For 1901 there a few more entries but none near that 1886 birth.

Why were you expecting James and Margaret as parents?

Hi Fiona

Nothing showing for them unfortunately up to 1901. There is a couple called James and Sarah Ann but too old to be parents to Samuel and no Samuel in that household.

Fiona, you have no idea how blown away I would ever be to meet someone connected to my lines.... Grin My paternal grandmother was Margaret Moran b. Glasgow, late 1890s, line going up two generations is all Irish. Likely no connection but I am the eternal optimist  Wink
