Please can someone restore and colour this photo of Gran and Dad.  Gran had dark brown hair and both had brown eyes.  Thanks,  Tony   Smiley

Lord, he looks about 14! Shocked
Was he in the army? I presume that he was of age to join but was just a young looking soldier?

Hi Tony Smiley
God love him but looking into his eyes  in this photo it looks as if he is petrified!
I presume your dad survived and went on to marry and have children AFTER the war seeing as he was so young at the time?
Out of curiosity how old was your dad in the photo?

Annette,

He was just eighteen!  Only just old enough to serve his country.   Yes he survived, hence me!  Tony.

Thanks for that Tony Smiley
I presumed that you were probably born after the war, just trying to be a bit diplomatic about your age Grin
But hey for all I know you could be an 80 year old computer wizz! Wink (only joking Tony!) Maybe the young looking genes were passed to you as well though!

Good Luck!
Annette
