I am hopeful that someone can clean up this group of dough-boys.

The only information I have is that the picture was taken in 1918 and the person second from the right is Ples Thompson.

Ples Thompson's grandson Wade is a friend of mine and Wade kindly let me scan the picture.

Any suggestions as to how Wade can get his grandfather military records?

"Doughboys" are Americans though, aren't they Xin?  Huh  Unless you meant the National Archives in the USA rather than the UK (for which I apologise for butting in!)

The Armed Forces board should have information about where records are available from - just post a message there and you should get a response  Smiley

I am always being told off by my grandson for putting mapostrophes in the wrong place or not at all??

but I did actually have 4 grandads   cos of parents  ::)divorce  Undecided

thanks for making me smile..

and I thought they looked like Americans.... Prue... not a bright day yesterday  must have been the sun!!!!
