Does anyone know of Arthur Whittaker B. 01/04/1919 In Tooting, London  I believe he married
Marie Louise Juggins probably around 1940

There is a death reg for an Arthur Whittaker b 2nd April 1919 died July 2004 Gt Yarmouth Norfolk aged 85

Reg number B82B 
District and Subdistrict 636/1B

Looking at 1919 births there is no Arthur Whittaker b Norfolk and the only other Arthur Whittaker born in the same qtr was Arthur E in Melton Mowbray so the death above looks a good bet

Slightly weird this

All the Whittaker/Walsh marriages prior to 1919 are in Lancashire

There is a Marie L Juggins marriage in 1940 with spouse surname Whittaker but no spouse shown on the same page so I checked the full GRO index

The reference cross checks to an Arthur Whittaker but spouse is shown as Griggins.  There is no entry for a Griggins on the full GRO index but there is for Juggins!!

You really need to buy a copy of his birth cert to find his parents names and mothers maiden name as without that info - you will not be able to trace his ancestry

There are 3 children showing as born to Arthur & Marie in  Lambeth between 1942 and 1953

All I am missing now is Arthur death date (could still be alive) and marriage date

The marriage ref is March qtr 1940 Wandsworth 1D  1550

Please see my first 2 replies re: death date - only 2 Arthur Whittaker births in the June qtr 1919 and the other had a middle initial.  You need to investigate the Norfolk death
