Hello Jo,

The site below enables you to find some heads of household with the Grew surname at the time of Griffiths Valuation of Ireland. This was conducted in Co. Tyrone (1851), Fermanagh (1862) and Armagh (1864).

Thanks again Chris, The John Butlers you mentioned none of them was my g.father. In 1912 he lived in 25 Saunderson Street, Belfast. I think he originally came from Whiteabbey as that is where his family came from. My mother who is 91 yrs old on the 17th March never knew her father as he died 5 months before she was born killed in action 1914.  The 3 children were handed over to an aunt who reared them.  They were told nothing of their past infact I have been able to tell my mum a little about her father and she is delighted.
thanks again Jo
