Hello all

Now this might seem like a stupid question but I really don't know so be gentle....

Are there Irish christening records, as there are English ones, with name, date, place and parents' details? 

If so, how does one find such records for Scotstown 1907?

At a minimum Christening/Baptism records include the childs name fathers name & surname and mothers name. Usually the records also include the mother maiden surname and the full names of the sponsors.

The level of detail included varied from from parish to parish and over time.

A 1907 birth would be included in the Civil register - and an index to this available at : http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=2;t=searchable;c=1408347
