I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand with some family research. Two of my great-great-grandmother's siblings (originally from Herefordshire) moved to Cheshire. I know whom they married and the name of their children, and a rough time of birth, but I'd like to know if anyone here is at all connected, or knows any more details about them.

They are:

Diana Vickress (b. 1851 Lyonshall, Heref.), married 1878 Macclesfield (maybe in Rainow?) Robert Gaskell (Rainow 1848-Rainow 1898). Seven children born:
1.Frederick (1879)
2. Ann (1883)
3. Florence (1885)
4. Elizabeth (1887)
5. Samuel (1889)
6. Emma (1893)
7. Dora (1896), married Harry B. Hawley.
The first two were born in Rainow; the others in Bollington.

Thomas Frederick Vickress (b. 1862 Lyonshall, Heref.) married 1887 Macclesfield (possibly also in Rainow?) Lydia Sutton (b. 1858 Rainow). Five children, I think all born in Rainow:
1. Lydia Ellen (1889)
2. Thomas Frederick (1891-1892)
3. Eveline May (1893)
4. Charles Henry (1895)
5. Constance Mary (1900).

In 1861 Diana is indexed as DEANA VICKREP

Upper ?? Lyonshall - image looks like Vickup

Frederick  45  carpenter b Hereford Hope under Dinmore
Ann  39  b Pembridge
Elisabeth   14  ditto
Milbron  12 ?? - daughter ditto
Diane   9  b Lyonshall
William   2  ditto

It gets better!! - in 1851 they are indexed as VERKUP and living in Lyonshall

OMG CaroleW, what a way to mees up the names they had LOL

Milborough (a girl's name, repeated several times in the family) I've seen spelt Milbro, Milbrow, Milboro... Any trace of Diana or her brother Thomas Frederick in Cheshire? I wonder if there are any Vickresses in cheshire today...
