FTM 2003 =splitting a tree
« on: Sunday 05 July 09 12:30 UTC (UK) »

A friend wants to send me a GEDCOM of part of her tree on FTM 2003.

Can anybody offer any help as to how to do this.

It seems it must be 2003 version only.

Thank you

Create a tree or report containing the people you want to copy out and export it .

I'm not sure how FTM-2003 works but in FTM-2005 what I would do is:

1) In family view got to the top of the branch you want to include.
2) Click on Reports and select Outline Descendant.
3) When that is displayed to screen click on File >> Export File >> Copy/Export Individuals in Outline Descendant Tree.

That is the easy method.

You can also click on File >> Export File >> Selected Individuals
