I would be very grateful if someone could help me with the following marriage info
Agnes Bowman m Archibald McLaren
1881 (17 March according to igi)
Invercargill (most likely Roman Catholic Church, Invercargill)
would love to know more details to establish if I have the right Bowman family.

You can check details of marriage registrations in NZ at this site
http://bdmhistoricalrecords.identityservices.govt.nz/search/
There appears to be two registrations for yours, both on 17 Mar 1881.
Unfortunately, no further name details are shown.
This is unusual, as original records show only one marriage, with Folio # 0681.
I suggest you use the "Contact Us" option on the page to inquire why there are two registration numbers, and sort out this apparent anomaly before ordering a printout.

This now confirms Agnes as sister to my 2x ggrandmother. Yippeee!!! This lot have been my brickwall for years and years. I am at last making more progress with them.
