Morton nr Gainsborough
« on: Wednesday 01 July 09 22:25 UTC (UK) »

Trying to find what happened to Florrie (Florence Harrison) born 1884, Morton - daughter of Moses and Dinah Harrison.  Can find her up to 1901 census, then I've looked for marriages , deaths, voyages abroad but to no avail.  Can't find her on the 1911 census.
Any help will be much appreciated.

There are 4 marriages in Lincoln for a Florence Harrison between 1903-1910

Thank you - Yes - I've tried to follow these through to the 1911 census but without success.

Thanks Carole
At last I think I've found it.  Tried again the choice of names on the 1911 census from the 1904 marriage.  Putting in  Woodhead  Gainsborough and asking for anyone in the household  with an Albert Ernest who were born in Morton, came up with 3 children and 'Florris' Woodhead born 1884.  I guess it's another case of mistranscription.  Thanks so much, because I've tried just Florence or Florrie, Harrison or any of the surnames from the marriages.  Just looking at it again and searching another way round has achieved a result.
Thank you Carole

Hi

Glad you found it - it will be a big relief when the 1911 becomes available like the other censuses - at least we will stand a better chance of finding mis-transcriptions

Yes - it's really annoying and time-wasting.
I looked on Ancestry family trees to see if there was any other information and found there were 12 entries of trees all showing Albert Ernest Woodhead married to Rosetta, (the alternative name on Freebmd).  They also showed a date of 14th June which was strange.  I checked on the 1911 and Rosetta was definitely the wife of John Henry Bullivent - just shows the importance of doing your own research!!
