Thank-you all.

I have to confess that this all sounds rather technical and complicated.

In the first instance I will take Nick's advice and e-mail the picture. The poor recipient has waited long enough whilst I tried to work out how to get the pictures from the camera to the computer.

Then I will go through the other posts and try to work out how to post on here. I may be some time  Smiley

Celia,

Is a card reader for getting the photos from the camera to the computer or altering the size of the picture?

If it is the former I've cracked that - I have some sort of lead that plugs in and was actually simple when you knew how. Still I suspect that is true of most computer things  Smiley

If for the latter, I'll look out for one, though supermarkets are hard to come by where I live.

Its the Former Grin A  multi card reader is a small thing that you put the card in from your camera in.It then plugs into your Usb and something comes up like the wizard .Then lets you choose what you want to upload from you camera.

When you got your Camera did you put the disk in,if you did you should have a photo editing program on your P.C. Or one from a printer will also have one.I think i have about four photo editing programs on mine Grin You only need one for all though

P.S
You cant buy photo editing things from shops Wink have a walk round your computer and see what you have in regard to photo editing programs, if any. Left  Click on one of your photos any one, then right click it and see if you get an edit picture or similar.

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth.
