Hi,
I am trying to fill in some gaps in my Hanley relatives and can't pin down parents from the information given on the Vic BDM site.
When I search for William Hanley born 1883, parents George and Elizabeth nee Holmes the results wont show the parents. I have clicked on more info and it still wont show me parents for the page of results. I dont know if the certificates haven't shown the parents or they just haven't been transcribed.
He also had a sister Nathal May 1899, who I can't find anything on.

William Hanley was born at BETH in 1883 to George Hanley and Elizabeth Holmes.

There were also a George Arthur born in 1885 at BETH and a Reuban Holmes Hanley born in 1888 at BETHNANGA to this couple.
Ref for George is 23430
For Reuben it is 747

Parents given as Geo and Elizth Holmes.
There are 5 more children that I can see if you need their details.

I'm trying to find out if William married or when he died, also the same for Nathal May.
I cant narrow it down on the website, it wont show me the parents of any possible marriages or deaths.

Parents of bride and groom are not shown on the marriage indexes.
There are only two HANLEY deaths with the parents you name after 1920.

I suggest you look at

and search William Handley and period 1920. Age correct and born Bethanga.

The service records shows he requested to leave to go home parents in Vic over November and December for 10 days to be married. However in Qld - Brisbane

Thanks Cando,
Leslie was my Grandfather, Rueben my Uncle who was blown off a hayshed roof and killed on Christmas Eve.
Now I can follow up Nathal May and William, fill in some of the gaps in the tree.
I knew I could count on you, I couldnt get them on the Vic website.

Have done a few edits to save having a long thread...so you may have to re-read a couple of posts.
When searching Vic bdm's I use to enter a little info as possible initially and then slowly add more or alternatively just post your query here 
I will see if I can find the HANLEY/JONES marriage.
