I am searching for a Claudio Boriani born Italy abt 1884 living in Portsmouth on 1911 census I have been told it might help my search to find him on aliens register for WW1 but I haven't a clue where to begin. Any help most appreciated. Smiley

I take it you are not saying that he was an enemy alien, as Italy was on our side during WW1. If he wasn't naturalized by WW2 he would have had more trouble then.
