Could a look up be done in 1851 census for a Ann / Anna / Hannah Coster/Costa  living in the Marlybone area aroundEdware Rd/Bell St/ Chapel St .Thanks Pete

No idea on either, she was informant for the death of Joseph Coster 15/8/1849 at 2 Burnes Pla Marylebone. His wife was Sarah d 1841 so may have been a 2nd marriage or a child that I haven't found previously or a relation. I have looked for a Anna/Hannah /Joseph marriage 1841-49 with out luck. The family lived in that area 1841-81 possibly later, mostly in Providence Place and Harrow St

Bit of a non starter then, as she could have lived anywhere.
1851 has several Hannah Cost*  in London, no doubt several Ann* Cost* too!

MAybe as you investigate the Costa/er family further you will come across a daughter/ dauughter in law / unmarried sister / sister in law ...etc etc with this name.

Have you looked for a Will for him? That might mention Hannah if they were close, and give her relationship.

There are no wills, they lived in a squalid, poor area. No similar names and as he died before 1851 no birthplace on the census. Even his age is iffy, census gives a birth date of 1798, death cert 1789. I'm  well stuck I think. P
