Barrow in Furness Record Office

If anyone is going to the Record Office/Archives in Barrow in Furness Library, please will they do a look up for me to try to find the birth/baptism of John Benson my 2 x g.grandfather about 1834.

I went there about a month ago on a diverted route to Scotland Roll Eyes to look at Parish records for BMD dates for my 3 x g.grandparents and their siblings.  I found the marriage and deaths of my 3 x g.grandparents and the baptisms of all of their children apart from my 2 x g.grandfather!  His siblings were all born in Ireleth, including two sisters I didn't know about, but I couldn't find my 2 x g.grandfather and I searched from 1830 to 1841 just in case he was listed somewhere out of sequence.  When I got back home and looked at my records, I found that on the 1901 census he gave his birth place as Barrow in Furness, rather than just Lancashire.

Any help gratefully received.

re john benson 1834. I should be going to the records office next week. If you would like to forward me any details of his parents or sibling then I will do my best for you. The only john benson I have found on the records I have access to was born to an agnes benson in 1838.

I'll send you a PM rather than clog up this page.  However, from all the records I have he was definitely born 1834, although his mother was Agnes.
