I am looking for help with any way of finding information on grandfather and his family, Isaac Napper b about 1872 in South Australia. He came to UK,date unknown, occupation gamekeeper, married Mary Prosser in Hereford. Family then lived in Wales. Family not with him when he departed London 4dec1913 on the Marathon bound for Melbourne. He was buried in Fawkner Memorial Park, Melbourne on 26 mar 1915.
All that we know of his family is that his father was also Isaac Napper, occupation labourer. I have found an entry on the SA Land Selectors for Isaac Napper buying land in Gowler on 27 Apr 1871 but nothing else so don't know if he is connected.

There is a limited entry from the BISA
NAPPER Isaac born about 1844 Somerset England arrived 1865 NORMAN MORRISON occupation farm Lab
Married 1 Jan 1867. SA.
The Norman Morrison arrived in Port Adelaide 21 Aug 1865
also
NAPPER George born about 1847 Somerset England arrived 1865 NORMAN MORRISON occupation Farm Labourer
Listed in the 1875 SA Police Gazette
11 Nov 1875
Notice is hereby gived that the undermentioned person has taken the oath as constable in the district herein after named under act no 10 1858

You will see that Isaac E Napper left a will, unfortunately it is not digitalised
on the 1914 Electoral Roll
living at 5 Wellington Street, Richmond. Labourer Isaac Edgar Napper
no other Napper at this address.

Paling around with marriages in the Uk
I found Charlotte Sarah Napper marrying in Somerset in 1889, unfortuanelty several women and one man on the page.
However searching the 1891 for Charlotte born in Aouth Australia
find
Charlote S Norman born Adelaide 1867 in Somerset.
SO wondering if the family all went back to Somerset from whence Isaac senior came from.

I see Edith L NAPPER is in St James Westminster Middlesex in 1891 listed as niece to Maria C NAPPER a widow from Germany. Also present another neice Elizabeth E A NAPPER 10 b Compton Dundon - same parish Isaac is in and was born in - earlier census give his parents as William (a cordwainer) and Charlotte.

I noted that Isaac born Compton Dundon in 1844c was on the 1851 and 1861 census with his parents Willaim and Charlotte and a big gap and back in 1901 but with a diffrent wife Sarah to the Eliza he married in South Australia.
I have searched other states in Australia but with no luck so far.

Yes I found him in 1901 also Jenn,
Still looking so far with no luck for 1881 and 1891. Second wife is from Compton Dundon. They married in 1887 in Wells district.

Ah ha no wonder I couldn't find him in Australia 
Kris you didn't miss Ernest you had him in your posting replly no 2 for births etc.
There is a posibble marriage for him in Somerset in 1914 as well. Oh can't find on my notes where I wrote it down will recheck for details.

They certainly did a bit of travelling back and forth
There is an I NAPPER farmer and Miss N NAPPER traveilling from Canada to Liverpool arriving 26 Nov 1905 aboard the TUNISIAN no ages provided.

certified by Dr Wylie.
