WW2 American Forces Marriages - where to look?

I have a relative that married an American after WW2. I would like to try and locate their marriage record (and any other records relating to this if there are any others) but I do not know where to look. A google search has proved fruitless so far. Is there any where that has these records online? If not, is there any way to go about looking for the records by post/email/phone? Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am obviously not looking in the right places if it is available. Many thanks in advance.

Hello Sahara,

Not sure I can be of much help but I recently had a similar query.  The answer was fairly straightforward, in that they married in the UK and the record is on the GRO index.
If marriage was in the USA then I guess you need to identify the state and approx date, then apply to the State Bureau of Vital Statistics.

Thank you for your reply Jolyon. I should have said in my original post that I think, but don't actually know, that the marriage would have occurred in Austria. I do not know what year it may have been. I wondered if there was a general index for the USA forces like the one you mention in the UK as I would not know where to start if I had to search in individual states.
