Joan on stamp
« on: Thursday 02 July 09 17:17 UTC (UK) »

I would like the head and bust (neck?) of my wife, Joan, inserted into an image of a penny black stamp in place of Queen Victoria.  Also the letters in the bottom corners of the stamp to be J in the left side and B in the right side.  I know that the scan is poor (it started as a colour transparency) and I know I am asking a lot, but can anyone help, please?  Tony.

Many thanks Hippy and Wendy.  Wonderful results and so quick!!  But, Wendy, may I beg a further favour?  Your last picture, with Joan in sepia, is spot on for her colouring.  It would be even better if you could add the shoulders as you did in the black and wite one.  Is it possible to add thgese to the sepia one, please?   Smiley

Nice one, Xinia!  Bill, I have looked again at the change you have done.  It is excellent as regards the picture and neck, but it would be even better if the image of Joan were moved slightly more towards the right, I believe.  What do you think?  Tony.

I think you are right Tony, I lined the neck up with Queen Vic.  but the Queen had a large bun on the back........If you enlarge and look even closer you might spot something else I put in the picture.  Shocked

Bill,
Very nice!  And, yes, I agree that the artist should always sign his/her work - even if it only with initials!  Thanks so much, Tony   Smiley Smiley Smiley
