Please a look up for Gad Hill in the 1841 census

Please could someone look at the1841census,
for Gad Hill born c 1812, wife Abigail 1809 & his mother Jane, he may be in Lyndhurst as his son was born there in 1842.

Cant see birth or death reg'd for these two children, but it was early days of Civil Registation when many didnt quite get the hang of it.

The child Gad Stroud Hill who is with them in 1851 age 9, seems to die young too
Jan/FebMar 1869
Gad Stroud Hill age 27
Isle of Wight ref 2b 361

(but I see he did marry first in 1867)


Have you seen them in 1861 with neice Harriet Stroud there? Shout if you want detials

Thank you very much, I wonder if the Gad in the 1851 census is the same one ! In IGI Gad Stroud Hill was Christening on the  06 JUN 1841 at Lyndhurst.

I only have info from the 1851census index, please can you confirm  that Jane age 78 is his mother? Thank you .
