Hi, I a looking for help with a John Hobson and his wife Mary.  They were the parents of my G.G.Grandather Aaron hobson.  The only information I have is that Aaron was born in 1804 at Cawthorne (Silkstone), Barnsley (igi), giving his parents as above. Also possibly a brother for Aaron, Joseph born 1802 (igi).  Many thanks Pat.  COMPLETED WITH THANKS

Is this possibly the parents? The sons were coal miners and that used to run in the family.

Last girl seems very young for a daughter.

All born in Yorkshire.

Found this on the IGI:-

John Hobson Christened 19 Jan 1772    Handsworth, Sheffield, Yorkshire.

Parents George & Mary. If the info on the 1851 census is right, this is the only one that matches.

I'll have to stop now, Top Gear's about to start.
