Hi

I'm trying to find out more about the parents of Ferderick Wallice b. 5 Feb 1850 in Malton. His mother was Sarah Wallace. She died later that year on 14 August 1850 and he was brought up by another family. I can't find any details regarding the mother's birth nor any details on his father. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Have you got his birth certificate ?

Frederick Robson Wallice  Q1. 1850 Malton  Vol. 24  Pg. 451

That will give you his father's name, and mother's maiden name   Wink

There is an extracted baptism for him on the IGI;  no father shown, so probably illegitimate  Undecided
