Hi, I have Benjamin Wall(s) b. Much Hadham 1804 & Sarah b. Cheshunt 1807 I have found a marriage on the IGI 9/2/1834 giving Sarah's surname as Derbidge. This is a submitted record & I wonder if anyone can confirm this please.
There is a christening for Sarah Durbidge 26/10/1806 Cheshunt, which I'm inclined to think is the same person, as I can't find a Sarah with the other spelling.
Any help would be wonderful. Thankyou

Hi Fizzix, great to come across your thread. Sarah Derbidge. I believe she is in my family as our Samuel Derbidge, possibly the witness at her wedding, was born in Cheshunt, emmigrated to New Zealand, settling at Lyttleton which is the harbour for Christchurch in the South Island. He had brothers, Alfred and Charles who also came to NZ. Is there any chance you have more info on the Derbidge family? I have come across a photo of Samuel who was also a Freemason and Master of the Lodge Unanimity.
