How do I get my Windows Picture and Fax Viewer back??

Hi all,

Hopefully, one of you would be able to help me out with this problem of mine.

Somehow, the programme Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is gone from my PC when I installed old 2002 Microsoft Word Processor on it. It forced me to "abandon" the original software of Microsoft Works which is 9.0.

I learnt one thing from this experience is that you should not have uninstalled the installed programmes...you better go with the System Restore. Unfortunately, in my case, the system restore does not work on four different restore points because it kept saying it did not complete successfully. Details are as stated: An Unspecified error occurred during System Restore.

So, luckily, I am able to retrieve original Microsoft Works 9.0. But I still do not understand why I am unable to get my Windows Picture and Fax Viewer back. I like this programme much better than current programme called Windows Photo Gallery. I do not do anything to my Windows Picture and Fax Viewer??

Can anyone give me a helpful answer or possible help with getting it back?

I think it is because the 2002 Microsoft Word Processor is designed for Windows XP as my PC has Windows Vista. BUT Windows Vista does have a Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.

Hi all,

My apologies to all of you...it turned out that Windows Vista no longer has my favourite programme.

For some reasons not clear to me, it was shown on my computer along with the Vista's similar programme.

Now it is disappearing from the PC.  Huh

I think the mystery has "solved."
