Why does my post keep jumping ??

Help please !!

Everytime I try and post something, the page keeps jumping up and down all the time.  It drives me crazy, especially when I want to correct or read back something I've typed.

What's causing this problem please ??

What I want to know is, is the problem going to persist ? For a touch-typist like me, it's really really irritating.

One solution is to type your message in WordPad and then copy and paste it into the Message box on Rootschat.

Have you tried running Roots Chat in IE8 compatability mode ?

It's easy - at the top of the page you'll see an icon to the right of where you type the web site name in (http://www...... )

Click on that icon (it looks like a sheet torn in half), and it will turn green.  Now, whenever you visit that site, IE8 will be in compatability mode.

My page had been jumping when I typed a message in but I thought it was something wrong with the keyboard.  Thanks to your instructions it has now stopped (yes, I did download IE8) prior to the problem.)

Thanks Nick but no thanks, my page is still torn in half and not green. However the other ideas about writing a post in another programme (I used word) and then copying worked before. This post is all right so far but then others were fine until quite a few lines were used up. Oh well, I'm not going to write garbish all night (whatever you may think  Grin) just to test jumping pages. I came on for a genuine problem so off to post and see if you come up trumps.
