I would suggest post-WW2  (ie very late 40s, early 50s) because the lady on the right in the second photo has a rather magnificent outfit, which would have been difficult to achieve during rationing.  Unless, of course, the chap indicated by Dobfarm was the local black marketeer and did a fine line in ladies' fashions!

1953 looks like on big letters as there are 4 end large numbers or letters on the calender

The picture on the calendar looks similar in style to the Ovaltine adverts of the early 1950s.  Can anyone make out what she's advertising?  She looks vaguely familiar, I'm sure I've seen that image before.
