Trying to help Moors on this...

Can anyone tell me the address of Joseph on this certificate. The marriage was at St Johns Chatham.

It could be New Road, Chatham (this is now the A2)

I think that you are right  Grin  So thank you very much,

I would never have come to that conclusion but have attached an image written by the same person for a Nelson and it certainly looks the same.
