do you want him researched back thru the Census years to reveal his parents and siblings ?
If so, what are the full details about him from the 1911 - age / YoB, etc
and how old is the oldest child, & where born ?

Hi,
This looks like george's wife
1891 farm house Breadsall Eliza Walker Head W 64 Farmmer Horsley Eliza daughter U 33 Breadsall Henry Clarke Serv U 55 farm Servant Breadsall William lacey servant U 18 Farm Servant Breedon leics MABEL SLATER servant 15 General domestic servant breadsall John Sidwell servant 14 Farm Servant overseal derbys RG12 2726 176 15
1881 barrow hall barrow Upon trent Derbys John T Pountain head U major Royal Sherwood Foresters Charlotte Slater serv U 36 housekeeper Breadsall 5 other servants MABEL SLATER visitor 5 Breadsall RG11 3386 110 6 (you can see fuller details free at familysearch)
so Mabel doesn't appear with parents on any census ?
You may want to purchase marriage cert to find name of father???
But then of course she is visiting in 1881 and there is a 36 yr old unmarried Charlotte Slater in the household- could she be mabel's mother??
I'll see what I can find
Suz

It seems charlotte Slater (from 1881 census ) is Mabels Aunt
1871 Cowsley field Derbys John Thomas Pountain Head U 28 Captain of Royal Sherwood Forester Leics Notts, land owner& wne merchant Cowsley Derbys Ruth Yeomans grandmother W 93 Kirk hallam Derbys CHARLOTTE SLATER servant U 26 breadsall Derbys Clara Slater servant U 20 Chaddesden Derbys RG10 3560 34 28 (think Clara may be a realative of Charlotte - but not sister??)
1861 Kedleston Rd Derby Ann Thompson head W 48 Independant lady Chaddesden George h grandson 3 Chaddesden Hannah Flixon Neice 20 Chaddesden CHARLOTTE SLATER House servant Breadsall RG9 2496 49 20
1851 breadsall Moor Elizabeth Slater head W 41 Derby Joseph son 9 Breadsall Charlotte daughter 6 breadsall HO107 2141 521 5
So Mabelss father was Charlotte's sister!
I'll try to come forward with Joseph - to find mabel's siblings
