Scott - John & Margaret Scott in 1851?
« on: Wednesday 29 July 09 18:46 UTC (UK) »

Hello.
I have traced John & Margaret Scott in the 1841 census and cannot trace either in 1851. I realise they might have died - but want to be sure!.
In 1841 they were living at Longframlington, both born in Northumberland and both aged 50-54.
John was a shoemaker.
I cannot find them in ancestry.co.uk
Thank you for any help.

I expect you have seen that the sons John and Charles were still unmarried and living together in Framlington next door to the other son Edward, his wife Hannah and their son John (HO107 Piece  2423 Folio 195 Page 2)

Perhaps the parents have died, I haven't been able to find them, or daughter Nancy

Thank you for your reply. I had not noticed the children living close by.
I think John & Margaret must have died!
