Hi bettyboob.  Welcome to rootschat.

What do you already know about James and what would you like to know?  Have you already found him in any census return(s)?

It's easier to help if we know what you're looking for Smiley

Hi Linda

My last trace of James was in 1871 where he lived in Green Lane, Sunbury with his wife Mary and son James and a lodger Owen Sullivan which I believed was Mary’s brother. Then I lost trace of him, his wife Mary died in 1877. And in the 1881 his son James was living with Mary’s mother but no sign of his dad James Can’t even find a death certificate for him
Many thanks for the reply

Hi

I was highlighting John as a possible father for James given that he was possibly a widower.  That was before I found the IGI entry showing James was illegitimate
