Uncle was a athlete - how to trace ?
« on: Sunday 05 July 09 21:29 UTC (UK) »

Hi there,
It seems my Uncle Frank Luckman of Aston ( born 1890- died 1963) may have been a member of an athletic running club in the Birmingham area in the early part of the 20th Century - anyone any idea how I can trace this ?
Any help or advice much appreciated

This page shows there are four athletic clubs in the Birmingham area. The main one being the famous Birchfield Harriers.  Maybe you might find an old programme with your ancestors name in the list.

Good luck,
