St Luke's parish
« on: Saturday 04 July 09 13:26 UTC (UK) »

I am going to the UK in August and will hopefully have a couple of days to do some research. Can anyone tell me where the registers of St Lukes parish are as nearly all my ancesters are from there.

Irene

Are any on line?

Hi Irene,

If it is St Luke's, Old Street, then it will be London Metropolitan Archives.

http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk

then click on London Generations to find the records held.   A few are on line on Anc***** but not the Parish Registers as far as I know.

You now need a History Card to use the printing facilities there.  If you want a card you can register online up to 30 days before you visit.

Thanks for that Nanny Jan. I have bookmarked it so that I can fill out the application later.

I have no idea why this has been moved?
I am not asking for a lookup as I am planning to do my own in August.
