Ferguson - Easton Grave site
« on: Saturday 04 July 09 15:15 BST (UK) »

I was unable to find the location of the grave site in the photo.

It is in Falkirk Cemetery but where. Can anyone pinpoint it or even give me an area to look in.
The photo was from a distant (and forgetful) relative and I'm wondering if if there have been any more internments there.

Alexander, on the right stone is, I think, the son of Peter and Helen on the left stone.

Cheers

Can't help you locate the Section unfortunately but I can send you a map if you're interested?. It doesn't show individual lairs but it shows how each section is laid out.

As you'll know now, Camelon is huge and can get quite confusing as a lot of the paths seem to run in circles- so  I think either a wee visit or a phone call to the Records Office is needed. I would advise a visit - they're not particularly good at responding to e-mails!

Thanks Anne

I know the place is big I spent ages wandering about it looking for those stones.

What is particularly driving me mad is that on the left stone there is a William Ferguson and the day before he died, my father's brother, named Peter died in the same house and I have been unable to find out where he is buried.
It's one of those questions that I wished I had asked my father but of course I wasn't interested in family history when he was living.

If I get a chance, I'll pop into the Records Office for you.

I know the cemetery pretty well and it usually doesn't take me that long to find any particular lair. I think they'll be closed in Monday (Falkirk Fair) though.
