Patrick Brennan Nov 4th 1860 = birth or baptism ? died 1st June 1946 in Carlow. Parents Michael Brennan & Catherine Murphy. Mary Clear is very difficult because there are so many different spellings used even for the birth of her children.

Audrey, Patrick Brennan married Mary Clear in Carlow in 1890 and their 1st born was in 1891. I have all these births and also all of Patricks 8/9 sisters but its this Mary Clear that i cannot track down.

Just to say that a previously unknown distant cousin NW from Aussie land saw my query and had all and so much more info than i could ever have hoped to find. Another success for Rootschat

Hi there,

I remember Dan Brennans Forge in Graigue-cullen, and Dan himself.  He was such a colourful character.  His grand-daughter is my sister in law.  I know her sister is researching family also.  I have a photo of Dan, pictured outside his forge with some local children taken circa 1965.  If you are interested, I can forward it to you.  Dan passed away, but he has sons and at least one daughter still living in the area.
