Hi Monica,

Thanks for the info, I live south of the border in Lancashire. However, a trip to Glasgow/Edinburgh is certainly not out of the question at all - there are also Perthshire based ancestors that I would not mind tracking down.  Also, the thought of visiting county based GRO's has a certain attraction. We did once wander into Aberfeldy library and ask about genealogical records,only to be told everything had been mved to Perth/Edinburgh. Does need organising though
