Family Tree DNA have a special summer promotion for the month of July to coincide with their attendance at the big Gathering of the Clans event in Scotland at the end of the month:

The following tests are on offer in the current promotion which lasts until the end of July:

- The Y-DNA 37-marker test can be purchased for US $119 (£73). The usual price is US $149 (£91).
- The Y-DNA 67-marker test is available for the special price of US $199 (£122). The normal price is US $238 (£146).
- The high-resolution mtDNAPlus test can be purchased for US $119 (£73). The usual price US $149 (£91).

There are geographical projects for Devon, Hampshire, East Anglia, Northumberland and the Isle of Wight. There are also large projects covering Scotland, Wales, and Ireland, and even a very large project for the whole of the British Isles.
