Sampler mystery
« on: Sunday 05 July 09 19:18 UTC (UK) »

Hi ! I have a sampler worked by Margaret Owens aged 12 , dated 1867 , and finally last week I was able to 'find' her in the 1911 Census . Margaret Owens was born in Llanllechid about 1855 , was single and lived with her aunt Ann Owens at Bryn Eglwys Llanllechid in 1911 . I was told quite some time ago that Margaret was a relative of my great grandmother , namely Margaret Elizabeth Parry  , born Margaret Elizabeth Jones 1879 in Llanllechid . Alas I cannot make the connection . Could anyone point me in the right direction please ?

Margaret Jones 27 Dau b  Llanllechild
William Jones    15 Son  b Llanllechild

Hi Wendy ! Thank you so much for your trouble and quick response. :)Yes you`re right , there were many Jones and Owen , and a few Owens. Looking at the age of Margaret Owen in your census result for 1861, she would be just a little older than 3 years old at that time.
Thanks again though . Smiley
