Hi Everyone
Just to say i have recieved this film in at the LDS and can do look ups on this for the next 3 weeks.Please give me as much info as you know and i will see what i can find out for you.
I wil lbe going every tuesday for the next 3 weeks

Please could you look for the children of Alexander CAMERON and Janet (MS MCDONALD). In order of birth:

I know that Margaret, my ancestor, was born in Rosskeen, but unsure where the others were born. The only reference I can find to a marriage for their parents is one in Fodderty (where's that?) 25 May 1849. would like to know about Janet Mc D's parents, if you should stumble on a marriage.

hi there,
this looks like some of your ancestors in the 1881 census (not sure if you have this already or not)
also, just to let you know that Fodderty is approx 13 miles west of rosskeen. if you got to www.multimap.co.uk and type in fodderty you should find it easily enough. also if you set the scale to 1:200000 you should get both Fodderty and Rosskeen on the same page.

I feel a bit silly for not looking on the LDS site first. It would be standard practice for England or Wales, but switching countries has boggled me entirely! 
I believe Roderick was married to Bella? with a son David by 1882 and Alexander became a teacher, ending up in Wiltshire, so he may also have left home. Since posting I have discovered Scotland's People, is that where you got the census from?
This is a very interesting family, in that the grandfather was a ploughman, but his children went on to be professors and ministers: one helped design the gardens at Niagara! The power of education!

Sorry i havent been in contact about this i only managed to look at the film for one week as i havent been back for a few weeks now .And i just told them ot send the film back and i will get it another time.Im hoping to start going again next week but not to sure when i will be able to get film in again.
I did have a quick look through the film but couldnt see anything im afraid i will let you know if and when i get the film in again.
