Hello again everyone.
I have a family request for information on a Madge Winfield.
Again the info is rather vague and I don't know whether you can help.
She was the Aunt of a relative who only remembers her as Madge.
I have traced the Family Tree as far as 1911 but she is not listed anywhere.
The head of the family was :- Samuel Winfield his wife Annie Winfield.
Census 1911 indicates that by then they had 9 children, but no Madge.
It is believed she may have been born later but I have had no luck with Freebmd.
The last known address is Holmewood near Chesterfield.
Sorry about the sparse info.

Thanks for your prompt response.
Madge was believed to be born after 1911. After the birth of a Emma in 1911.
No children with the name Marjorie or Margaret have been identified in my previous investigations.
Dinah Margery sounds promising. I need to find out where Shardlow is.
I do know that the family seemed to have strong connections to places called Kimberley in Notts and Awsworth or Pilsley in Derbyshire.

How long had Samuel and Annie been married by 1911 - and where were they living (is this where the Chesterfield address comes from - I see Emma's birth was registered in Chesterfield RD in 1911)?
If we can trace their marriage then a search of birth registrations cross-referenced by mother's maiden name may be fruitful.

Do you know anything about Madge's later life?
Whom (if anybody) did she marry?
Where & when & in what name did she die?
There may be routes to finding her full given name(s) and perhaps identifying a date of birth from the death registration index.

Wed Samuel Winfield 1896.

( could this one be Madge?)
I wondered that but would be a little wary of the Derby birth given this marriage of a different Winfield/Towle couple:

Ah - well spotted! It did seem to be an awfully long time after Samuel and Annie's marriage as well. Unless that is the same Samuel - marrying another Towle bride??
Yes, I wonder whether this is a re-marriage of the same Samuel. There is this death of an Annie of about the right age:
