Please can anyone tell me if the village of 'Combe' in Oxfordshire was once called 'Long Combe' in the 1800s.

Combe and Long Combe are the same place! (Source:  "Oxfordshire Parish Registers & Bishop's Transcripts 2006" pub. by OFHS)

Hi,  Also used to be called  COOMBE LONGA, at least that is what the Vicar put on my marriage Cert. in 1962.
