lookup request for Robert Reid of Forgandenny

Hi there, would anyone like to do a lookup for the 1871 census, in Forgandenny. I am looking for a Robert reid born approx 1800. His age changes from one census to another. In 1841 he was 41 years of age. In 1851 he was 54 yrs. In the 1861 Census he was 66 years of age.!! (He was born in Auchterarder, sons were James and John))
Also, ...What is the best way to find death records for this area on line!! (or is there somewhere I make a lookup request for this too??),

Hi Karen,

I can't find Robert Reid in 1871 but there is a death in Forgandenny Perthshire in 1866 of Robert Reid b1795.

You would need to go to Scotlandpeople and purchase the certificate to make sure it is the correct person.
It will give you his parents names also.

If you go to Scotlandspeople website, link below, you can download the death certificates yourself. Scottish death certificates should name both sets of parents (assuming the informant knows them). For 6 pounds (about 13 AUD) you get 30 credits.

Hi there Andy and Mariac, Thankyou for your help. I joined Scotlandspeople.gov and YES!!! The death cert was definately my Robert Reid, I didn't know that it was so easy to find and download certificates!! The internet has made life so much easier for us folk who live so far from our roots (I'm in Australia) Thanks again, and Andy , the links to the posts that you sent were mine!!! So many of my questions and quandries are finally put to rest, I am Happy!!
