I have a statement of account from C Mitchell, Linen Draper & Silk Mercer, of 20 High Street, Lewes. It is undated, but has items on it from Dec 1890 to Sept 1891, as well as a 1 Penny stamp attached and was paid "with thanks" on 12 May 1892.
It is in the name of my great-grandmother Miss M Faulconer, namely Miriam Mannington FAULCONER born at Knightsbridge Farm, Hellingly on 29 Nov 1864. She purchased several items of clothing, Flannel, hose, jacket, shirt, gloves, corsets, combinations, etc, to a grand total of £18 3s 0d.
Can anyone tell me if this building is still in existence. There is an engraving on the account of it. Looks to be on a corner, three storeys high with dormer windows in the roof.

Thanks Liz
Does look a bit like it too. Wonder if there are any more photos.
