Hi,
I am looking for the family of Robert & Elizabeth Wood in the 1861 & 1871 census. They had 2 daughters, Annie Semple Wood born 1857 & Elizabeth Semple Wood born 1859 in Dailly, Ayr.

I could,nt find them in the 1881 census Perhaps they died. I will have to find some of the marriages of the children and see what i can find, at least i have a few more names to look into. Thanks very much for taking the time to find the information.

Scully, I think your 1859 entry for a daughter Elizabeth may in fact be for Helen as Ruskie has found from the 1861 entry. From IGI:

Just checking in again.
Quite a lot of new people to get your teeth into Scully.
Monica, are you looking at the transcriptions on A*******? There are some shockers on there. Makes the chase even more challenging. GWell done finding them on the 1871 - I couldn't find them even though I tried searching using just first names/occupations etc.

I get to the point sometimes with our friendly transcription service of searching with air  In this case it was a daughter Hel* with parents Rob* and Eli* born in Ayr*.....
