Risborough look up please - long shot!

Hi all
I have a Sarah last name unknown born abt 1787 (calculated dob from census entries) in Risborough. She later married Wiliiam Carter B 1786 in Pangbourne and they lived their lives farming at Bellinger Common Bucks.
I am trying to get a maiden name for Sarah. I do not know when / where they married either.
Any offers of help /info would be really appreciated.

Hi Nigel

You could try the Bucks FHS, they have a marriage index which is as complete as it can be.  For a modest fee they will search for all mentions of a surname for 100 year period.  If she came from Bucks & they later lived there, it may be that they married in the county.

Hi,

You are going to have to look for the marriage as Sarah was a very popular name in Risborough about this time.  Four were baptised in 1787.  I cannot find a marriage for a William Carter in this parish.
