Hi

help needed please for 1891/01 look up for Agnes Kelly b1875(illigitimate) Dunbar. Would like to find out who Agnes is living with as I believe mother and daughter were seperated. Agnes's mother is Matilda Leishman b1852  and living in Yester East Lothian in 1891 ,Agnes's father is Andrew Kelly.all help welcome

Agnes Peffers  age   60

thanks for the look up. Robert 64 & Agnes Peffers 60 are Matilda's parents, Agnes 15 & Andrew 8 are Matilda's neice & nephew. Agnes Kelly/Peffers(Matilda's daughter) was aged 5 on 1881 census living with her Grandparents Robert & Agnes Peffers while Agnes's mother Matilda in 1881 was working in Castle ter,Edinburgh. I have Agnes Kelly's birth record but am wondering if she was known as Agnes Peffers rather than Kelly since she was illigitimate.

any continued look ups most welcome with thanks

after re reading message realized the 1891 census you pulled up is the correct people Tongue, I got a bit confused as two stepsisters both having 4 illigitimate children between them with 2 called Agnes. Agnes aged 15 seems to be using her grandmothers surname of Peffers rather than her own surname of Kelly also her cousin Andrew is using Peffers when he should be Morris. Thank you for your help with 1891 census which has helped work out that both children where left with their grandparents to bring up rather than their parents.
