Adeline LORKING c.1841
« on: Sunday 19 July 09 06:08 UTC (UK) »

I have a marriage for Adeline LORKING and Thomas Moye BONNIN, 1869, West Ham.
Thomas was a well known pewterer and Adeline was also thought to work as a pewterer.
On all the census records I can find it says she was born about 1841 in West Ham.
I've looked for every source of births but cant find her as Adeline LORKING.
I've looked for every spelling I can think and have done wild card searches, nothing, not a sausage.
I'd really appreciate a new pair of eyes having a look for me.

Leonie.

Have you found her in Census previous to 1881

Could LORKING be from a previous marriage

ADDED

3 Census 1881, 1891, 1901 say her birthplace is abt 1843 to 1845 at Stratford, Essex, England

Thanks all.  Cheesy
West Ham was also Stratford and Brickfield. I don't know if it was re-named or if the three places just merged into one. It's on modern maps as West Ham. Just west of Hackney. London of course.
The Ancestry entry is obviously a miss-spelling.  Sad  Another mistake to be carried on to future generations.
I wonder why she isn't in any birth registry? Another one slipped through the net.  Roll Eyes
But what you have given me gets me on the move again. I should find some more family now,
Thanks heaps,
Leonie.

Well, it could. But the poor thing didn't have a name.  Sad
If she was 8 in 1851, I supose grandfather did know her age  Huh or maybe he just asked her and she said 8.
Then again, 1861 says 18.... so did she hang about for months without a name?
Or...what month was the census done?
Oh, for a time machine.  Grin
I'm sure that must be her, Sylvia, thanks.
