Butterfield and Co. Romford, Essex

I'm wondering if anybody has ever heard of Butterfield and Co. Auctioneers, Land and Estate Agents who definitely existed in Romford in the 1920's.
I can prove this as I have a photograph of my grandfather who was a porter there standing in front of one of their vans.

I can't see them mentioned in the Kelly's Directory of 1906 or 1937, so presume they didn't exist for very long.

I would love to know anything else about Butterfield & Co. and would be grateful for any help.

Try the ERO. There's at least one record referring to them

"James BUTTERFIELD & CO., Woodlands, Oak Street, Romford (Owner)
G. BUTTERFIELD & CO. (Architect)
G. BUTTERFIELD & CO. (Builder)"

They are also shown as being Painters and Decorators in the 1919 Directory of Romford with their showrooms at 117 Victoria Road Romford and their office's being at Woodlands Oak Street Romford.
