Oh Nell I didn't think of that, because Maria was his daughter so wouldn't apply so to clarify can only be a sister of Claudio so a Boriani/ Hook combo or a sister of Maggie Roxburgh his wife, a Roxburgh Hook combo. Which I have already looked for. Maggie Roxburgh had two sisters, Jessie married a Copsey not sure about Eliza she may have been an Elizabeth.
I have been told Maria Boriani marr. a Walter Cave but can't find that marr. either.

If Maggie had sisters Jessie and Eliza, then the Islington census family with father Alexander must be the right one (children Charles, Maggie, Elizabeth E and Jessie in 1891): RG12/159/58/4

Well found and I suspect all correct so the search is on for a marr of Elizabeth Roxburgh to a Hook.

Back to my first post. Birth of Louis Boriani  in later life he was known as Louis Hook, so when I saw Claudios death cert and the name Hook I thought, that is where it has come from because why change your name from Boriani to Hook? of all the names you could choose.
Maria Boriani re married again in her eighties in 1989 I have found that marr. and couldn't resist ordering it to see what she has put her maiden name down as and father. Will keep you posted.
