Mark Darcy 1864-? Washingborough
« on: Thursday 23 July 09 23:37 UTC (UK) »

Trying to trace what happened to Mark Darcey b Washingborough to George William and Ann Darcy. Last record I can find is 1881 census when he is working on a farm at Waddington, still single.

Hi

If you look on the IGI Pedigree Resource File, you will see that someone has put Mark Darcy on although it is spelt Darcey:
 http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=prf/search_PRF.asp&clear_form=true

There is a submitters name & address which is in USA. If you google his name address you will see he has been researching his family since the mid 1970's.  His grandfather went to the United States from England in 1910, so he has done much research with the England Census, specifically in Lincolnshire. (there is an email address quoted for him)

Hi again,

I have found the marriage of George Darcy but notice there is no middle name of William given.  He married Ann Pool & his father's name was Charles Darcy.

On the site I mentioned above, the person also quoted George William Darcey & that he died in 1882 Oct/Dec but that death was for a George William Darcey who was only 15!!

A word of advice, always try & check things out to confirm any information that you are given.

Had got the George and Ann Pool link and Charles, but thanks for clarifying the G. William problem.
