Hi All

Thank you for taking time to read this.

My oldest Great X 4 granddad Thomas Tidmash was married in Marevale in 1803 near Mancetter & Atherstone. to Pheobe (Phoebe-Phebe) Cope
 
 Is son 3 G/granddad Thomas Tidmash  born/Bapt 1805/6 Mancetter.
now Thomas Tidmarsh
Married Sarah Bott 1827 Tanworth in Arden
she died 1832 and Thomas 2nd Marriage in Hampton in areden (Temple Balsall )Sarah Wood (My GX 3 Granny) died  1850 and Thomes Married 3rd wife Elizabeth Harrison 1858( Temple Balsall)

Other sibligs of the 1803 marriage used Tidmash and TiTmass and Titmouse'

I have found Thomes TIdmash b 1771 was on the 1841 c with Phoebe and in a Document allotments at Temple Balsall as Thomas TiTmouse. about 1820

Well there are Two possible Father John Titmarsh of Thomas bapt 1773 in Coventry and William dad of Thomas TiTmouse of Thomas bapt 1763 in Berkswell (next village to Temple Balsall- Inbetween now Balsall common)

I resently found a Thomas Tidmarsh in the Coventry Directories 1830.

Thomas (Senior) died Died 1851 age 86 = 1765

There are two deaths Thomas Tidmarsh 1851 (mine) and another age 65 both Balsall/Hampton in arden parish

Edited the other Thomas Tidmarsh Died 1830 age 65 in Hampton in arden Edited today above date
any ideas

Hi:  you're confusing me again  Grin Grin  I can't make out what you want.  Am I to take it that you want to find out who the other 1851 Thomas Tidmarsh death is? Would you like me to go to Lichfield to see what I can find?  After all one good deed deserves another  Grin

Where did you find the second Thomas Tidmarsh death in 1851 - not on FreeBMD?  Only the one in March quarter 1851 under Solihull district, page 413 - buried Hampton in Arden on 27 March 1851.

Hi Bumble,

As you know this family already! I'll get to the point as above was for other posters.

Thomas Titmarsh b 1771 was of John and Ann as the Allegation you sent me Covetry St Michaels (Thank you on that!). Since then I found out that this Thomas was in the Directories 1730  in Coventry City from communications with Cov Library -thus ruled him out. Only other bapt was Thomas TiTmouse 1863 Birkswell.. ...The is a marriage 1793 Thomas and Sarah TITmas Birkswell  That would fit him and this 1830 death.

So I rule that marriage out as my Thomas bapt 1763 till I found  Thomes TItmouse at Katherine Leverson about 1820/30 plus years with a Allotment owned by Kath Leverson trust hired by this Thomas TITmouse at Temple Balsall. There an exact Surname Titmouse match at Temple Balsall as the Birkswell birth 1763 of William Titmouse. With Phoebe dieing at Kath leversons Temple Balsall -I'm 99% on this Thomas TItmouse as 1803 Merevale Marriage Of Tom and Phoebe Tidmash.

So I have Exact name and near exact year as Thomas death age 1851 age 86.


So to be sure to eliminate Who was the Thomas Tidmarsh who died 1830 and if same one that married a  Sarah 1793.

Hence me going to Warwick for 2 weeks. But if you can dig anything out at Lichfield? this would be most help full. There is a Will for this 1830 Thomas burial in Hampton in arden age 65. but that another day.

Was hoping to find descentants of this 1830 Thomas Tidmarsh death hence posted. very long crossbow shot to nothing.

Right:   We already know that all the Tidmarsh baptisms at Hampton in Arden are for Thomas of Balsall, Labourer - 1811 - 1845, so I'll see what else they have.  Berkeswell may have had it's own church, I don't know.  Leave it with me and I'll go to Lichfield.

Hope this doesn't put off any potential answers from elsewhere.

My Computer norton update decided it needed a instant restart auto.

Forgot to put the 1830 death Tomas Tidamash 1830 age 65 - birth 1765. as the other Thomas. on restart.  Embarrassed  Cool (Deckchair out side!  Embarrassed  Grin )

Thomas Tidmarsh senior owned (National archives online info) Hillfarm Temple Basall FenEnd -Chadwick End also Honey lane & Fen end farm )(Tennent) Son Thomas b 1806 Atherstone. If it helps.

Without the 1830 death (meaning 2 Thomas Tidmarsh's  b 1765) it did cross my mind that Thomas married Sarah 1793 and she died pre 1803 Phoebe & Thomas seniors 2nd wife marriage 1803 Merevale. similar to Thomas son. marriages of 3.

Just anything that would Eliminate one. NO RUSH!****

But we know there are two Thomas Tidmarsh - we've seen the burial entries to prove it.  But - as no burials on IGI I'll go to Lichfield and look at Berkswell, plus earlier than 1811 at Hampton in Arden - any excuse!!!! Grin

And did you notice that there is another Anne Titmouse, parents Thomas and Phoebe, baptised 17 January 1819 at Berkswell?  So the 15 January 1818 baptism of Anne at Hampton in Arden must have died!

I was once told "they'll be found when they want to be found" and I'm convinced it's true. Roll Eyes
